Deux Magots Cafe

Inside the Deux Magots cafe, two superb Asian
statues adorn the central pillar, watching over the terraces on the Place
Saint Germain des Pres.
The café started life in 1813 as a drapery ... In 1914, After a
refurbishment, the café "Les Deux Magots" emerged, and
rapidly became the place to "see and be seen".
In the decades that followed up until the present day,
Les Deux Magots has been a witness to the changes in art
literature, philosophy and politics - legendary figures of
the art world were frequenting the café : Verlaine,
Mallarme, Oscar Wilde, Guillaume Appolinaire, Paul Eluard,
Picasso, Hemingway, Jean Paul Sartre with Simone de
Beauvoir, Malraux and many others... This is the right
